Guided by the philosophy “Adjust the sails, not the wind,” Waverley overcame early industry resistance and tourism fluctuations. They tapped into the automation trend, securing a significant LKR 20 million contract for laundry equipment from Club Palm. Partnering with Maxi, they quickly landed a LKR 50 million deal with John Keells.
Recognizing the complexity of hotel kitchens, Waverley forged strategic alliances. Their perseverance bore fruit in 2002, winning a competitive LKR 30 million bid against international firms to design Hilton Colombo’s “Spoons” restaurant. This underscored Waverley’s tenacity and adaptability in pursuit of success.
